“I am excited to move to South Carolina, a state my parents have called home for over 30 years, and work with the ACLU South Carolina affiliate. Since last year’s election, we have seen an onslaught of threats to civil liberties, and the need for the ACLU’s work has never been greater. But we have also seen an unprecedented response from our community of members and supporters through direct action, financial contributions, and deeper engagement. I am eager to get to know the community in South Carolina and work together with you to advance equity and justice. And of course, as someone who grew up in the land-locked Midwest and currently lives in the desert, I can’t wait to eat good seafood and enjoy the beach whenever I want!”
