South Carolina does not currently have an "early voting" period like many states.  Citizens are provided a way to vote early through absentee ballot, provided they meet specific criterea that would otherwise prevent them from being able to physically show up to the polls on election day

This bill would change the current practice and provide for a no-excuse early voting period 30 days prior to election day.
