Wrongful Death Lawsuits for Abortions (S. 713)

This bill would expand the definition of “wrongful death” to include abortion. This bill states that a wrongful death lawsuit could be brought by the mother, father, or both mother and father of an embryo or fetus.

We oppose this bill because: This bill further increases control over people’s bodies and reproductive freedom. This bill has the potential to cause harm and distress to pregnant people.
