As South Carolinians, we pride ourselves on hospitality. Especially at a time when some politicians want to harm, demonize, and exclude immigrants, it is important to show our hospitality and solidarity with immigrant communities. During the week of Feb. 23-27, we will join local activists, communities of faith, and ordinary people expressing a common theme: Immigrants Are Welcome Here. Please join us at an event. South Carolina state lawmakers are preparing to return to the State House after the new year, and so are we. Want to help us get ready, make some friends, and learn a little bit about how you can get involved in legislative advocacy? Gather with the ACLU of South Carolina for a 2026 Pre-File Party! We’ll review pre-filed bills, play advocacy games (including Legislative Bingo!), and connect over food and drinks as we prepare for the upcoming legislative session. In-person events will take place in Columbia and Greenville. A virtual option is also available. Please register in advance so we know how many people to anticipate.
