Under this bill, a driver’s license issued by another state to an undocumented immigrant would be invalid in South Carolina and the driver’s license holder would be given a citation when stopped by law enforcement.

This bill would criminalize the distribution, possession, and use of the drugs mifepristone and misoprostol, which are used for medication abortion, managing miscarriages, treating pregnancy complications, and a variety of other uses. Under this bill, the state would imprison people up to five years for possessing these essential medications without a prescription, or for using them to obtain an abortion.

This bill would require most standing House committees to be composed of members reflecting the partisan makeup of the full State House of Representatives. The only committees exempted from this rule would be the Legislative Ethics Committee and the Committee on Operations and Management.

This bill would block any clinic that provides abortions from providing family planning services with funding from the South Carolina Medicaid program.

This bill would allow a person to participate in a pretrial intervention (PTI) program more than once if it has been at least 20 years since they last completed a PTI program.

This bill would require public schools to record audio and video of all special education classroom instruction. These recordings would be available to the general public under the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act.

This bill would establish a Truancy Root Cause Intervention Study Committee to assess current truancy intervention programs and investigate the factors that lead to truancy, including home environment and other circumstances.

This bill seeks to eliminate considerations of diversity in the selection process for judges.

This bill prohibits any government agency or school from awarding grants or contracts that classify, prioritize, or set a quota based on race. Any policy or contract that violates this would be void and unenforceable.
