This bill would establish a Truancy Root Cause Intervention Study Committee to assess current truancy intervention programs and investigate the factors that lead to truancy, including home environment and other circumstances.

This bill seeks to eliminate considerations of diversity in the selection process for judges.

This bill would criminalize standing too close to police. It would impose up to a 60-day jail sentence on anybody who remains within a 25-foot radius of a law enforcement officer, after receiving a verbal warning, with the intent to cause the officer “emotional distress.”

This bill prohibits any government agency or school from awarding grants or contracts that classify, prioritize, or set a quota based on race. Any policy or contract that violates this would be void and unenforceable.

This bill states that a library board would not be allowed to require a chief librarian, library director, or library employee to be certified by the American Library Association or have a master’s degree from a program certified by the ALA.

This bill would require a parent or legal guardian of a minor under the age of 16 to provide consent before a medical professional prescribes medication to the minor. Additionally, this bill would allow the parent or legal guardian to review the minor’s prescription records even if the prescription is solely in the minor’s name.

Sanctuary cities and jurisdictions are communities that prioritize the safety of all residents by limiting cooperation with federal immigration authorities. This bill would seek to ban any local governments from enacting sanctuary policies.
